BREAKING BARRIERS
In a period of three years the school project “Breaking Barriers” will be carried out. Participating countries are: Holland, England, Hungary, Germany and Sweden.
The aims of the project are to coordinate an exchange of experiences and lifestyles and establish fruitful contacts between young people in multicultural schools in Europe, through increasing knowledge, skills and the use of ICT as a way of communication.
The project will break barriers between young people in multicultural schools in Europe concerning cultural and religious differences, using a sports and health perspective.
The project will prevent racism and fear of the unknown amongst young people in Europe.
During the project period this website will be developed and established where pupils, teachers, parents and the local community can get information and follow the progress of the project. On this web site pupils will interact with each other and contribute information about their different lifestyles and backgrounds.
During the project period themes will be dealt with as “Myself and my school” covering family life, interests, friends etc.
The project period will end with a European Sports tournament in Stockholm in May 2009 which will be financed privately.
